Hey kids! Celebrate happy holidays throughout the month with holiday shows from PBSKids’ favorite series and shows that adults also watch at 8 p.m.

PBSKids Holiday Show Specials

In Sesame Street: Vacation at Hooper’s (Monday, Dec. 6, 1 p.m.), Elmo and Baby Bear stay with Alan and Nina at the Hooper store when their parents are late for a holiday concert. They’re disappointed that they can’t celebrate Christmas Eve and Hanukkah as planned, but Christmas carols, latkes, and decorations galore make their celebration fun and memorable.

Alma Road, Noche Buena episode.

Then take train 6 to the Bronx for Noche Buena d’Alma / Doover of the Three Kings (Monday, December 13, 8:30 a.m.), a special holiday-themed episode from Alma’s Way. This new PBSKids series by Sonia Manzano (Maria in Sesame Street) broadcast every day except Saturday at 8 a.m.

And check the children’s lists for broadcasts of Curious George: A Very Monkey Christmas, starting Friday, December 3 at 9 a.m. Arthur’s Perfect Christmas, from Thursday, December 9 at 9:30 a.m. and other festive specials!

20 years of Christmas with the Tabernacle choir

Former Tabernacle Choir guest artist and Tony Award winner Brian Stokes Mitchell returns to remember and relive twenty years of inspiring Christmas concerts. From opera, gospel and pop singers to Broadway and cabaret stars; from Shakespearean actors to film and television stars, the guest choir performers not only offer tremendous talent, but a little something for everyone.

Nature: the wild house of Santa Claus

Wednesday December 15, 8 p.m.

Get an intimate glimpse into the wildlife of Lapland, a region of northern Finland, the legendary home of Santa Claus and the true home of reindeer, great gray owls, wolverines, eagles, wolves, musk oxen, brown bears and more.
